We will be out at the Big Apple BBQ Block Party in Madison Square Park, NYC today! Pitmasters from all around the country will be showcasing their goods and skills, so we can be sure to enjoy some outstanding BBQ!
There’s something down home and earthy about having BBQ anything. Despite what pundits may say, comfort food will never go out of style. There’s nothing like having some sauce dripping down the side of your mouth, eating those ribs that fall right off the bone and have just the right amount of smokiness and flavor. Ribs that can stand alone without additional sauce are tremendously well prepared.
Thankfully the event organizers have a very organized cost setup for the food: $8 Barbecue, $4 Desserts & $2-$6 Beverages. None of us is expecting crazy portions at those prices, but it is a great opportunity to try some different styles of BBQ if you’ve never encountered it.
